Happy EEkkk! One more sleep...

That-sa BIG card.
And all those nice words inside?
.... far more than one human being can/should absorb.
I fear I am too fragile at the moment to adequately express my appreciation for the gift of YOUR time, energy, love and song.   The blubbering would be... ghastly, I'm sure of it.  :)

We're entering Advent and a time to ponder all that He has done, is doing and will do in our personal lives and in the whole world around us.  We are all alike, blessed beyond measure by a God who sees, hears and nurtures us without fail.
Suffice to say, it has been an extraordinary blessing to participate in the wonder thus far in the company of this choral community.

As per a very recent phone conversation, here are a few teeny adjustments to our repertoire for tomorrow night (which will be reviewed in the afternoon stage rehearsal so my perfectly capable choir peeps? .... still thine quaking hearts:)
  • Good Christian Men Rejoice - we sing "Oh!" at the end of every verse i.e. on the second beat of bars 38, 61, 124, 147.  Just sing a jolly Oh! as apposed to a stubbed-toe Oh! & we'll do fine.
  • the transition from Wexford Carol into Magnificat is now a 4 measure vamp with lute intro.  Which means Watch me!... and we'll know when to launch into bar two or - die together.  Ha. Okay, not funny.
  • How Suddenly a Baby Cries - first page is now an upbeat 4/4 tempo like the rest of the song.  This will only impact the ladies in bar 26 and 31.  It's not a big deal but do Watch me! or - ...y'know?
  • O Come All Ye Faithful - Relax, there is no verse 4.  Sing as per usual.
  • Go Tell it On the Mountain - cut out verse 5 altogether (mm 54-61).  No verse 5.
A sweet teal hoodie was left behind last night.
I'll take it along tomorrow for the medium child 7/8 owner.
Also, left behind:

.... a tenor's binder.
With... (GASP!)
- stuff still inside the front cover.
Not to worry my friend.
That is with me too.

Anonymous pick-up can be arranged :)

Till Friday 3:30pm my highly esteemed choir peeps.

Eat. Sleep well. Pray.
We are going to have a BLAST!
