Choir Peeps - Lend me your ears please!

It's official.
We're invited back to sing The Joy of Irish Christmas with the Getty's at Hamilton Place on November 28, 2014.
We have a few months to consider how to tackle this next project but here are my first thoughts:

First of all, the Getty's are currently on Spring Tour with the same program we did last fall, Hymns for the Christian Life.  You will notice on their website that they are in town on May 2nd for a concert at Harvest Bible Oakville, preceded by a Leadership Luncheon at Crossroads from 12:00 - 2pm.

On behalf of EduDeo Ministries and Campfire! Bible Camp, I would like to invite you to a special leadership event featuring Keith Getty, Friday, May 2, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crossroads Centre in Burlington as we meet over a complimentary lunch for a time of conversation and helpful instruction. Keith will share from his experience and discuss your questions on leading corporate worship, hymn writing and promoting a ‘singable theology’ in the church.  This is a free event and we would love to see you there!  You can register up to two guests per church or ministry at http://gettymusic.com/leaders.aspx.

SAVE THE DATE: EduDeo Ministries and Campfire! Bible Camp are hosting Keith and Kristy Getty in concert on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Hamilton Place for a hallmark Christmas event  – ‘Joy: An Irish Christmas'

  
November 28th 2014 will be the FIRST stop on their Christmas Tour and as such, we once again have a privileged position.  If you are interested in singing along this time around I ask that you contact me via email.  But first carefully and prayerfully consider the following:

• rehearsals will be weekly from mid September to showtime.  That's only a dozen rehearsals which means a tighter, more focussed approach to learning our stuff which in turn requires a solid commitment from you.
• Mondays or Fridays will be my first pick, maybe even alternating those nights.  You can let me know your preference on the side bar poll.
• I need more guys (basses in particular)
• Rehoboth church marks the spot for rehearsals
• Jesus, Joy of the Highest Heaven is a featured Children's Carol and I'd like to pursue the idea of enlisting the help of your young children to sing it in concert (more on that in September)
