• Bar 57 – notes are equal time, not traditional

How Suddenly a Baby Cries:
• Pronunciation of ‘oh’, ‘aw’=awe and ‘ah’ -> with each new syllable your mouth opens wider
• Each new sound starts soft and builds
• V. 4 – ‘ooh’ = eww -> pursed lips like a fishbowl guppy

Joy Has Dawned/Angels We Have Heard on High:
• Bar 83 – ‘glorious’ – sopranos note: syncopated
• Pay attn. to enunciation
• Bar 112 - ‘joyous’ shouldn't be syncopated for alto & bass
• Pay attn. to syncopation in bar 106/108/110

In general:
• pencils in hand (always)
• let's be attentive now to words for proper enunciation but also (esp.?) for lyrics/message
• singing thoughtfully is like being a good storyteller who uses the cadence & intensity of voice to engage his audience.
